It's a plea to deviantart administrators! Make DA 15+ please!! It'd be so very very nice to have all those 13-14s off here.

Why? Some are great, but the majority aren't. Most of them troll, spam, and flame others and each other. You block them, and your list becomes like... :faint:

Some post nice stuffs, but most don't, unless you find myspace-like self-shot photos to be very 'artful'...

It's not like you'd be stopping them from browsing the site, they can just wait till they're 15 and got some more common sense before registering.... Oh and more practice too, that never hurts either.

I agree with you in some cases, maybe just a 14+ Sight. One year can make all the difference. Maybe just a different Symbol by their name like )Username.

Which could mean junior, and they would only be allowed to join certian chats.

There are so many ways that dA Could regulate it. :meow: But I do see where you're comming from.



Also, I wanted to ask you to do a crit for me, because I need an honest opinion.

I'm afraid I have to disagree with dA being 15+.. :| I am 14 and check my gallery. I have a friend who is 12 years old, all her art are drawn using laptop touchpad and her watcher's list is more than 100. She has 7k more page views than me. She is a magnificent artist giving joy and inspiration to those around her. Everyone starts somewhere.

Yes some little idiots are annoying when they come in trolling and spamming. But it's a part of life we have to deal with. Simply making dA 15+ will have no effect whatsoever. There will still be trolls out there.

Just tell me who that friend is, and I'll immediately get her banned from this site. DA is 13+ because of COPRA, and that's serious business, not something you mess around with.

I will not. Even if it's for her own good, I have the self respect not to double cross my friend. dA is more than just an art site, it is a site for artists,photographers,writers all of them to grow their talent. I have full trust in my friend, I have known her for more than a year. Suppressing the opportunity for such talent like my friend or possibly other talented deviants...I'm sorry but I have to say such a thought is not only shocking but it disgusts me. How can you tell me to double cross my best friend, once again I'm sorry to say but you have just stooped to an incredibly low level...asking me to turn my friend in. The mere idea of dA being 15+ is very narrow minded... No matter what you do, even if you make it 15+ there will still be trollers out there
