Poem prayers for Japan. The following haiku are by a number of different deviants. They are posted below as a way of sending our prayers and/or thoughts of love and support, as well as showing our solidarity for the people of Japan, in the wake of the 8.9 earthquake and ensuing tsunami and nuclear crisis.

Please, please send your haiku to me. Leave them as a comment, note me with them, post them as a deviation and link me. I will add them here. The goal? The creation of a beautiful collaborative work of art that shows our LOVE, SUPPORT and SOLIDARITY. Even if you cannot assist the people of Japan monetarily, DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE THE POWER OF WORDS AND POSITIVE ENE

Also, stop bawwing at people who say they're going to pray for Japan. Spending time drawing kawaii crying animu isn't any better. Or worse.

EDIT: only 5 thumbs are allowed in artist's comments. Newer 'artworks' will be linked to...

currently there is a genocide /ethnic cleaning in Burma.. and no one is going to pray for them. maybe because they're Muslims, not Christians, not Westerns.. not Japan.

well, that's another story.

I felt kind of bad when I didn't cry when Japan got hit with that Tsunami. I felt bad, but not really that much.

But, I got over it.

I love Japan!

lol I'm really late

I felt bad for Japan, but that's mainly because I have friends who live there that are really close to my family. I would have been really upset if I lost them, I guess that's why it impacted me more than something like Haiti. Like I felt bad for Haiti... but not quite as much as Japan, because I don't know anyone in Haiti.

There's a lot of sick people that were revealed through this incident though, those that were like "OMG MY ANIME WILL BE DELAYED" and shit like that. I wanted to punch them, because all Japan is to them is KAWAIIDESU and not a place with people like every other country. Ugh.

I know that feel. :iconiknowthatfeelplz:

A really good friend of mine moved back to Japan before the earthquake and tsunami hit.
I have not heard from her till a few months ago. Thank goodness she is doing okay.
I was worried sick!

It also sickness me to see people care more about the anime but, not the people.

Don't get me wrong I also care about Haiti and other countries that faces disaster.

As a good stamp once said...

"Pray for the people. Not the country."
