Origami peacock by prosaix Origami peacock by prosaix
An origami peacock... About 15 cm tall.

Don't ask me why the back is so dark, it's not suposed to be like that

This piece is very elegant and I could immediately tell it was a peacock. The lines are sharp and well defined. The colours could use some work you could try some more colours which actually belong to the peacock despite this I think the colours on here give it a different and interesting minimalism look and feel. The lighting on the piece gives it a big impact and makes the curved lines look much more defined. I like the fact that it is made up of curves yet it has quite a spiky feel on the back wings to it.

I like that the back is so dark, it gives the photo a nice touch :)
The peacock itself is pure awesomeness, the colours are great.
I've made 100 of those triangles and then I lost the interest haha :P

Are all those tiny pieces just folded, or cut and pasted? they look glued in the picture. It does look amazing, though!

I'm glad you liked it! They're not glued, just folded into triangles, and then put on each other... (there's some sort of little pockets in each triangle in which you cna insert others)

I used normal printer paper, 80 grams or gsm or whatever they call it... Just the regular printer paper, not origami ones

But mainly because I don't have the proper colours for a peacock :paranoid:

That might be because of the saturation... or the light I took it in... Maybe I stil see it as pink because I know it's supposed to be pink lol!
