I love this! I don't care about jerkiness of the hands (it isn't jerky, it's smooth.), or the outline (it's fine black), I'm just amazed and dazzled by you work
I'm actually surprised you took any notice of my comment.
The shading and bottom pixels certainly look better. I'd still suggest using a brown border as the black makes it look a bit old fashioned. And is there any reason the hand movements are still wonky? The one on the left of the image looks the better of the two, but the one on the right looks rather stiff and moves a little too much each frame so it seems jerky
I guess it depends how closely you look at the animation. From a distance its smooth but on closer inspection it looks like the hand gets caught at the bottom for an extra frame then flings up in the air like its an elastic band.
I guess it just comes down to personal preference and probably computer screens. I find grumps to be a nice level as its dark enough to show but not too dark that the contrast causes it to stand out and draw more attention than it should. In the case of yours i think its too dark that your eye gets draw towards the border and face and you miss out on the nice shading and any animation
The shading part is definitely because of monitor etc because I'm using a different one now, and I find the older 'shading' I used to use to be terribly off and bad. Apart from that I'm fine with it.
