The main reason why I’m writing this news article is because it saddens me to see people going everywhere looking for llama badges and spending HOURS trying to get as many as some other people. :thumb169071809:
So you’re asking yourself as to how some members of GoldenLlamaClub have that many llamas? Wonder now more. Here’s how they did it.
They use a macro-creation and automation software utility which allows users to automate repetitive tasks. A good example of this is AutoHotKey, but there are lots of other softwares like this one, some free, others not.
What this software can do is to basically use keyboard shortcuts like, say, ‘Ctrl+a’ to launch a program, do a mouse click on a specific spot(once you set the x-y co ordinates) on your screen and even run loops once you’ve written the proper command for it.
So how will this give you llamas? Here’s what they do. You must set your hotkeys such that they do the following actions.
Open a window using the random deviant link (which is this: www.deviantart.com/random/deviant )
Left click on the give button
Left click on the ‘give a llama badge option’
Left click on the ‘give’ button
Set your hotkeys to do this, and press them over and over again to give random deviants badges. You can distribute a LOT in a matter of minutes. And as those deviants with 10000+ badges have shown us, you’ll be getting a LOT of badges back from the active accounts you’ll be randomly giving to. :thumb169236628:
Here’s a link to prove that it really works: comments.deviantart.com/5/3290…
And now you’re probably wondering how to write those commands such that you’ll be giving llamas using hotkeys instead of going on people’s page individually and clicking and waiting. There I cannot help you, but I’m sure some members of GoldenLlamaClub will be glad to help you(the programs have their own 'help' which might be enough for you as well). If you’re a llama whore, this ‘unscrupuous’ method is for you.
Why should you do this?
Well if you’re spending hours asking for llamas, posting messages at 2 minute intervals in chatrooms or I don’t know what, well deviantART is an art site, don’t waste your time doing that. It’ll take more than months for you to get 10000+ badges. Spend your time more wisely. Take some minutes off your ‘llama trading’ and fully understand what I‘ve just written above and you might save MONTHS.
Of course, it relies on people giving back llamas, so you should keep on doing that.
Why shouldn’t you do this?
Llama badges started off as a community before some deviants decided to take it to another dimension. Some now view llama badges as badges of stupidity, whereby people lost days and months just to acquire those 20x27 pixel images.
And yes, this is why dead accounts, and even plz accounts at times have a badge. Even if you might only receive back around 22% of those you’ve given, the sheer amount you can give using this method will make it such that you’ll be receiving like, thousands back. And that in a very small amount of time compared to what you’ve been doing so far.
There you go, now you know how some people have so many.
Just as a side note. The fastest ever method is using llamatrade. But you need points, in thousands for that.
Now that you know it all, the golden llama is within your reach if you want one.
And if you're interested in those, here are some prominent llama groups on dA:

This is basically what passed through my mind when I saw a journal about the same subject in the journal portal lately. I thought it was a joke but sadly not. This is not a guide but a hit-me-in-the-face-common-sense statement.
This is based on my *insert how many years the internet has been around for* years experience in different online communities.

I'm looking for groups to submit my deviations to, so could you please suggest some to me so I can join them? You probably already know what kind of stuff I make so fire away!! (If you don't... well have a look at my mainpage/gallery) :la:
Use the :icon*group name*: thing and leave a comment! Thanks a lot!
