This is simple common sense. Though in my opinion if you cannot handle someone saying mean things to you, you shouldn't be on the internet at all. I know there's going to be someone running up to me and going "WELL BLOCKING SOLVES NOTHING DEY'LL JUZ COME BACK!" Honestly, if you just keep blocking them they will leave you alone after a while. Seriously, as an ex-troll I can say that it does piss them off when you block them mainly because they can only make so many new accounts before they finally get bored.

I can also say as someone who was cyber bullied when I was 14, it's fucking avoidable. Want to hear a little secret in regards to avoiding getting cyber bullied? Don't fucking reply and just block, or if its severe enough report it to the admins. If you cannot even do that... get off the internet and go take a walk, you'll find it very helpful.

Personally, I enjoy the cut and thrust of a darned good debate... however, trolls are an exception.

they serve no useful purpose and only seem to exist to get all up in your 'nets and give you some crap about a point they find oh so important, but you really couldn't give a single toss about...

Aside from the tea idea (I don't like the taste of tea - each to their own I guess), it all sounds pretty level headed.

Yeah, don't get drawn into the 'big' debate with them...

All you'll do is waste more time dealing with tedious infantile nonsense when you could be doing something much more fun and most likely rewarding.

Right - I'm off to do some drawing and stuff.

I particularly like the bit about having a nice cup of tea, sound advice old chap. I like to keep a stiff upper lip too (but I'm a bit old-fashioned in that respect).
